Mike continues in this episode with the final installation of the Stories from the Road story arch. He left off after sustaining a career ending injury that left him disappointed right as his career as Cheetah Master was taking off. Mike reflects on his previous experience in life and how he will eventually use that to build the successful career that he has today. As we know, he started out at Wilmington College pursuing a degree in radio. He interned at WMMR in Philadelphia at the peak of their existence as the number one rock radio station in America. He used his experience there to get a position at 97.7 WAFL where he realized that he didn’t like radio like he thought he would. His connections in the Delaware wrestling community led Blue Thunder to offer him a job at MBNA in customer assistance. Mike was eventually moved to a different area in the bank where he learned to manage a department and turn it into a profitable business. Here, Mike was able to learn all that he knew about running a business and expanding it to become profitable. Mike builds on this knowledge to finally achieve his goal of opening a gym. He submitted his business plan to a local bank who gave him the loan to start the business. After some more luck with naming the gym, everything seems to be working out for Mike and the team at 1614 Fitness.
